It's more than a race, it's a family festival in South City!

More than ever, this year the Macklind Mile is more than just getting outside and running as fast as your feet can take you, it's about grabbing the family, the neighbors and the dog!  Heck, you might as well just make it a family reunion.  There will be live music, more food and activities to choose from, and hanging out in the streets of South City St Louis with other kids and kids-at-heart.  And by the way, how about letting us know what you'd like to see at the finish line by sharing it on the official Macklind Mile Facebook page?  The more buzz, the more fun we can make it!

If this is your first time at the Macklind Mile, know this:  it's a one mile distance that everyone can do regardless of running or walking and the post-race party is just as important as the distance covered!  You can either come to run the downhill one mile course to try and set a personal record or you can walk it with Fido, but either way you partying at the finish line!

Start-Line Instructions

In order to ensure that everyone gets a fair shot at a super-fast personal record (PR), we are providing chip timing for the race! So that no one gets bogged down in the first few meters, we will have pace signs that will correspond with your predicted finish time. PLEASE start in the correct spot. Your chip will not be activated until YOU cross the start line so there is no need to push your way to the front unless you plan on winning!
