With Gyms and most other exercise facilities closed, Running is experiencing a boom as one of the safest activities to keep you sane during the COVID-19 pandemic. With that in mind, the Macklind Mile has gone virtual to give you a fitness goal to look forward to. You can run your mile anywhere at anytime. Though we wouldn’t suggest the original course (too much traffic hampering that fast time). We’re even challenging those of you up to it to run 26.2 miles in 26 days. It’s called the MACKLIND MARATHON. Register, Join our exclusive Facebook Group, and tell your family, friends and neighbors about this opportunity to stay fit, stay sane and support Buder Elementary School.
If this is your first time at the Macklind Mile, know this: it’s a one mile distance that everyone can do regardless of running or walking, and the post-race party (Not Included for 2020 – Dang You Coronavirus!!) is just as important as the distance covered! Find your own downhill, one mile course or try ours and set a personal record, or you can walk it with your family pet – either way you’re partying at the finish line!
